This multi layer creamy yogurt parfait will hit both the sweet and crunchy note! I love this in the morning and even as a snack around 3 o clock! To me, sweetening and flavoring your own Greek Non fat yogurt -or even just plain yogurt – is so much better than the taste you get with artificial sweeteners in so many many of the low point yogurts on the market.
By layering the flavors, we get a burst of sweetness and crunch in every bite! I have a huge arsenal of extracts in my spice pantry! Vanilla, Almond, Cake batter, Pistachio, orange, toffee and many more! One of my favorite places to buy them is at a candy store near where I live. They have all kinds of unique extracts for specialty candy making and cake baking. I can find flavors there that I’ve never thought of using!
Vanilla and Almond Crunch Parfait
Ingredients
- 1/2 C Greek Non Fat Yogurt Split in half
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
- 4 tbsp Grape Nuts Cereal
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 1 small Banana Sliced
- 1 dash Cinnamon
Instructions
- You will need 2 small bowls for mixing and eating! Recipe:1/2 C Nonfat Greek Yogurt split in 1/4 cups1/2 tsp vanilla extract1/2 tsp almond extract4 tbsp Grape nuts Cereal split in 1/2 for layering1 tbsp raisinsa dash of cinnamon 1 small sliced bananaFlavor the yogurts separately by mixing in the extracts in 1/4 cups.Layer almond yogurt, cereal, bananas and repeat layering with the vanilla flavored yogurt.
