Maple Peanut Butter Bar

WHY Peanut Butter bars are good for breakfast...

According to Medical News Today, “peanuts and peanut butter contain nutrients that may boost a person’s heart health and improve blood sugar levels.

Depending on how people use peanut butter in their diet, it can help them lose weight, or put on pounds during weight training or bodybuilding.”

It is an outstanding fat and if used in moderation, it can actually help you feel fuller longer, and stave off sugar cravings! We could all use this in out WW lifestyle or any other diet plan!   Coming off a long fast from sleeping a nice dose of healthy Peanut butter in the form of a Cookie like bar but without the added sugar is a well balanced breakfast!  If you don’t believe me, check out the simple ingredients you will use for this creamy and satisfying bar!

Peanut Butter is good for my heart?

It is! The article from Medical News Today goes on to say:

“Peanut butter contains many nutrients that can improve heart health, including:

  • monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs)
  • polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs)
  • niacin
  • magnesium
  • vitamin E

The proportion of unsaturated fats (PUFAs and MUFAs) to saturated fats in the diet plays a particularly important role in heart health. Peanut butter has a similar ratio to olive oil — which is also known as a heart-healthy option.”

Now this is GOOD NEWS!

Now lets talk about WW for a minute.  This is going to be a little point pricey. BUT the awesome thing about this recipe is that you can totally customize it! The points are coming from the Peanut you choose.  Choose a lower point peanut butter and you will have a lower point bar. Pretty simple!  The lowest Ive been able to get these Creamy Maple Peanut Butter in WW points is 3 for 20 servings.  And that is a good sized bar!

I also like having this for breakfast with a hot cup of black coffee and some Sugar free jam on the side. Because the sugar is low — its also worth noting this bar is low carb as well — you will feel satisfied for hours!

Add a few Lilys Chocolate chips on top for a more sweet dessert or high energy 3 pm snack!

I prefer to use Smuckers Natural  and I always use a creamy Peanut butter.  But like I said go with what you like!  I dont mind taking some WW points on this bar because the fat is healthy and the ingredients are clean with no added sugar!

  1. How much is 475 grams of peanut butter?

    • Will definitely make this. Your blue pan looks a little smaller than 13 x 9. Is x 9 still ok? Thanks for your low carb recipes. I’m on WW Blue.

      • I actually made this twice and to get 20 servings you need a 9X13 baking sheet per the recipe. That casserole dish is smaller.

  2. What’s the cup measurements for 475 grams of PB
    What’s the temperature for baking?

    • IT is baked at 350. I use a food scale for weighing so Im not sure of the cup conversion.

  3. I made these and they came out dry and crumbly. My battery died in my scale and I measured about 1.5 c. Peanut butter. I dont think it was enough
I almost used the whole jar.

    • Yeah the measurement I gave is 475 grams of creamy Peanut butter. Im really not sure on the conversion. I would suggest using a food scale or perhaps asking WW the Peanut butter conversion. They are not dry and crumbly at all. Very creamy.
