Why a Cream Cheese Chaffle?
Glad you asked! Many people, especially those on a low carb or WW lifestyle journey, look for foods that are low in sugar but high in flavor. They need to be easy to make but also delicious. Truly delicious.
With a Chaffles,my taste buds are looking for the real deal! A slightly crispy bite with a hint of vanilla. Not something that tastes too egg-y and feels like its a thinly veiled imposter of breakfast sorts. Trust me I get it!
Welcome to the cream Cheese Chaffle!
The cream cheese does 2 things in this recipe. First it gives the Chaffle a creamy texture in the middle and a place for the vanilla extract to live. Second it will crisp up just enough to make your chaffle a little more crispy and take on the flavor of a real waffle.
I also love the addition of the finely ground almond flour. Its lower in WW points and carbs than the regular white flour typically used and it is now easy to find in just about every grocery store.
Here is the link for the cute little waffle maker I use!
Watch it being made by video!
I like to top my chaffles with sugar free syrup or some macerated fruit. Its also good with a nut butter like almond or even peanut butter.
