Have you ever been at one of your favorite Italian restaurants and been stumped!  DO you order the Chicken Parm or the Lasagna.  You can’t decide because you want them both!  And in no world are you ordering those 2 entrees, especially if you are living a WW lifestyle of spending our points wisely.  NO, you will have to order one or the other and you will probably have to spend all your weeklies to do it! 

…. OR will you?

This recipe is the perfect marriage of a cheesy layered lasagna and a saucy Chicken Parmigiano!  It has all the deliciousness of a layered pasta without all the points and calories!  You can even make the chicken and the sauce ahead of time since it is made in the slow cooker and when you got home, layer the Chicken Parmisagna and you are ready to eat a “better than restaurant” meal in 30 minutes!

Chicken Parmisagna

This is a cross between Chicken Parm and Lasagna!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast Boneless and skinless
  • 2 oz Fat Free Cream Cheese
  • 1 packet Spaghetti Seasoning mix
  • 1 14.5 oz Tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp dry basil separated
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder separated
  • 1 C Cottage Cheese Fat-free or low fat
  • 3 tortillas Ole Wellness Wraps

Instructions

  • To begin :
    In the crockpot:
    1 lb of chicken breasts.
    2 oz Fat free Cream Cheese
    1 packet Spaghetti Seasoning MIx (I used McCormicks)
    1 14.5 can tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp dry basil
    1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
    Salt and pepper

    You will also need 3 Ole wellness wraps
    1 C Fat free Cottage Cheese 
    1 tsp dry basil
    1 tsp garlic powder  

    Cook on low for 2-3 hours on high OR on low for 4 hours.
    Remove chicken and shred. Put back in crock pot for 1 hour.  
    Turn off.
    In a bowl mix 1 C fat free Cottage cheese, salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp of basil and garlic powder together.  
    In a 9X9 casserole dish -- spray with olive oil then layer 1 wrap, chicken mixture and then a layer of the cottage cheese.  Repeat the layering ending with the last wrap. Cover with foil and bake in a 375 Oven for 30-35 minutes. Let sit for about 15 minutes and serve. 
    This is a perfect freezer meal for meal prep!
