What is a Dump Cake?
Lets start here! A dump cake is similar to a cobbler, made by “dumping” fruit or other fillings into a pan, or in this case a single serving mason jar or mug, and then dumping cake mix on top.
Now in our case, we dumped the filling on top of the cake mix, but you get the point! In our version we are also using a cute wide mouth single serve Mason jar which I find to be the perfect vessel because not only is it glass and not made from a plastic, but it has a lid! This means you can make it ahead of time for your WW meal prep if you like or if you want to make a few and put them in the refrigerator for guests you can do that too! Throw on a colorful lid and you have an impressive dessert!
In this recipe we will be using Swerve cake mix. Its a Sugar Free cake mix that uses Erythritol as the sweetening agent. The big reason I love it, other than it being very low in carbs and WW (Weight Watchers) smartpoints is that it tastes just like the “regular” non sugar free cake mixes AND it doesnt kill my stomach like the others in the stores do! The last time I tried a store bought sugar free cake mix I honestly thought I had contracted the stomach flu! No kidding!
I also love that with a single serving “Mug cake” style dessert, we are only using a few tablespoons of our cake mix. Have you ever made 14 Sugar free cupcakes and felt obligated to eat them all over the next 48 hours so they don’t go stale? Yeah, me too! Kind of defeats the purpose of them being low point, right?
You can add any toppings you love. Sugar free Cherry Pie filling, apple pie filling, fresh fruit, a little pecan — whatever you like!

Blueberry Dump Cake in a mason Jar

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Swerve vanilla Cake Mix
- ½ tsp Cake Batter Extract
- 1 tsp I can't Believe its Butter Melted
- 2 tbsp Sugar Free Blueberry Pie Filling
Instructions
- In a mason jar or a mug, Spray the inside of the mason jar with butter spray. Mix cake with extract. This is just the dry cake mix from the box. Pour the melted butter over the top and mix. Some of the cake mix will remain dry. That is ok. Add in pie filling. Do not mix. Microwave for about 60 seconds and serve! You can eat this warn or room temp.

Cake Batter extract is an extract just like vanilla only it tastes like Cake Batter. It is in my amazon store at the top of my website. Hope that helps!
